Keeping Your Crested Geckos Hydrated in the Winter

In the winter months it's critical to make sure you are misting your Crested Geckos adequately. As the temperatures drop outside, we crank up our own heat indoors which can dry out our Crested Geckos' enclosures. Misting your adult and subadult Crested Geckos extra heavily in the evening during winter months should be more than adequate to maintain proper humidity and water droplets for drinking. Juvenile and hatchling Crested Geckos are more concerning though as they can dehydrate quicker. What size enclosure is the minimally acceptable size for a Crested Gecko is a topic of debate. Some believe smaller dimensions are ok and other's believe larger dimensions ar a must. Today I'm going to cover this topic and give my thoughts and opinion on the matter. I believe in a good, better, best approach when discussing Crested Gecko Enclosures for single adults. Good: A 10x10x16 or 12x12x18 enclosure is acceptable for a single Crested Gecko.
